Mighty Oaks: Woodland Women Preserving and Sustaining the City of Trees (Gibson House)

Through a series of archival and contemporary photographs, amplified by female voices drawn from David Wilkinson’s book, Gertrude’s Oaks, this program will trace the aspirations and accomplishments of women throughout Woodland history who led efforts to preserve and enhance the city’s landscape and quality of life. Presenters Wilkinson and Marjorie Holmes Brown, co-founders of the Woodland Tree Foundation, will be joined by another Foundation board member and tree planter, Beth Canevari.
