Intro to Tarot (Winters)

Intro to Tarot (Winters) In-Person

This introductory overview will begin with a brief history of tarot: where it originated, how it has transformed over the centuries and continues to evolve along with us. From a card game to a mystical method of fortune telling to a tool of self-inquiry and personal empowerment, humanity has had an enduring enchantment with tarot decks for more than 500 years.

We’ll explore the structure of the standard 78-card deck based on the Rider-Waite tarot, discuss the difference between the Major and Minor Arcana, and consider various methods of reading tarot, then take a deeper dive into The Hermit, the numerological tarot card for 2025.

--------

Catherine LaSasso and Lisa DiDio have been reading tarot for most of their adult lives. They met in late 2023 while offering readings at Soul Garden Holistic Healing and bonded over their love of the cards. Last year, they combined forces to create a playful, illuminative series of classes, Beginning Tarot: an Intuitive Approach. It was a hit and an absolute delight, so they followed up with an intermediate offering. They continue to team teach tarot classes as well as hosting a monthly 2-hour Tarot Salon, a community offering which is open to readers of all levels.
